When Jessica Johnson contacted me about creating a color scheme for a high-end new build, I didn’t have to sell her on the importance of the right paint colors and color placement. She had already experienced the dramatic difference the right color palette made in staging to sell in her own home in 2013. Using on-trend colors, we transformed her dark, rustic ranch home with dark paneling into a light-filled dream cottage for the new owners, who snatched it up as soon as it hit the market. Toronto stager Red Barrinuevo, President and CEO of Redesign4more ~ Home Staging & Design Solutions, recently solved a challenge sellers sometimes face, a less-than-favorable location. The property backs up to a hydro plant, the challenge for the owners when they first listed it with no interest from buyers. “After staging it SOLD in less than a week, and it sold for $120K over asking! A new record for the area,” says Red. Kuudos to Red! What a great testimonial to the power of staging.
