RESA Encourages Government Officials to Create COVID-19 Policies and Programs That Will Benefit the Self-Employed

The COVID-19 pandemic has hit North America and as Americans and Canadians we are already feeling the strain of financial uncertainty. RESA recently polled roughly 600 home staging professionals about how the COVID-19 crisis has effected their business so far, results showed that over 60-percent of business owners have already experienced financial hardship due to this pandemic.

All of us at RESA HQ are working hard to support RESA Members and the staging industry at large while curating the most up-to-date credible news and resources regarding COVID-19. We also encourage you to go directly to your local, state/provincial government websites, and the CDC.

On March 20, 2020, RESA sent a letter to President Donald J. Trump advocating for real estate stagers. The letter encourages leaders to create policies and programs that will benefit the self-employed, specifically financial programs and grants as opposed to loans that have to be paid back.

On March 22, 2020, RESA sent a letter to Nancy Pelosi, Kevin McCarthy, Chuck Schumer, and Mitch McConnell, as well.

RESA encourages association members and all home staging professionals to get involved and send letters to your House Representative and your Senator. You may write your own, or you may use this sample.  For instructions on how to contact your Senator or House Representative  click here.
