The RESA Atlanta Chapter has joined the fight against breast cancer and will be participating in the Susan G Komen 3-Day Event in Atlanta October 19th – 20th, 2012. The 3 day, 60 mile walk is the boldest breast cancer event in history.
Not only do participants walk 60 miles over the course of 3 days, but each participant must also raise a minimum of $2,300. It’s a big commitment, which has an even bigger payoff. Proceeds go to Susan G Komen and the fight to end breast cancer forever. I’m so proud of our Chapter’s commitment to such an amazing cause! The RESA Atlanta 3-Day Team consists of 5 Chapter Members; Amy Powers (Team Co-Captain & RESA Atlanta Technology Chair), Paige Earles (Team Co-Captain & RESA Atlanta President), Kat Shell (RESA Atlanta Secretary), Elizabeth Nelson (RESA Atlanta Membership Chair) and Jannis Vann (RESA Atlanta Program Chair), who have made a commitment to walk 60 miles over the course of 3 days and to raise a minimum of $2,300 each (Team total of $11,500).
This will be my 2nd year to walk in the 3-Day, and I’m thrilled to be participating as a member of the RESA Atlanat 3-Day Team! We have a big task ahead of us, but I have every confidence that we will not only reach our goal of $11,500, but also far surpass it.
The entire RESA Atlanta Chapter will be supporting the RESA Atlanta 3-Day Team by participating in monthly fundraising events, including a BoobBQ Networking and Fundraising Luncheon in July, a Garage Sale Extravaganza in August and a Fundraising Gala in September, which will include a live auction, music and much more.
Fundraising Progress Report 5/20/12 – The RESA Atlanta 3-Day Team has already raised $2,668.12 and we’re just getting started. Very Exciting!
