Staging By Dora Design – RESA Feature Friday

Staging By Dora Design RESA Feature Friday

Dora Grondz, founder of Staging By Dora Design, became a home stager when she “accidentally” staged her own home before putting it on the market with her real estate agent sister.

Buyer’s agents kept asking her who staged the home. My sister told them that it was not staged. The following year, my sister was selling her own house and asked me to move some of my furniture and decor to her house to help sell it. We did and again, buyer’s agents were asking the same thing.

Dora decided to do some research on what home staging was and landed on the website for RESA Accredited Education Provider, Home Staging Resource. She is now a RESA member and HSR Certified Professional Home Stager and Redesigner, proudly serving the East Bay and part of the Central Valley in California.

We constantly invest in our inventory to stay current with trends, as well as we continue to educate ourselves in our growing industry. We are experts in creating a vision in each home that buyers will fall in love with!

My personal aesthetic is…

Spend time with my family.

My morning ritual is…

Pray, shower, breakfast, make my boys lunch for school, print Stageforce reports, drive to work.

What do you think about when you are alone in your car?

Easy answer.. I listen to K-Love Christian music. It calms me down and gives me peace since I drive a lot for my business. I also think of my staging project for the day and ask God to help make it run smoothly.

What were you doing before you started staging?

I was home raising my 2 boys.

My goal is…

To grow to 15 employees.

Right now I am obsessed with…

Making sure our inventory stays up to date in the Stageforce platform.

My favorite meal after a long day of staging is…

Salad with grilled salmon.

My go to staging accessory is…

Poufs.

What part of owning your own business is the least enjoyable for you and why?

Hiring! It’s very hard finding the right-fit employees. It’s a struggle to retain employees as well. In our business, we have a huge turnover in employment. I lost great employees due to relocation and it was so tough.
