Fifteen real estate agents made time to strengthen how they guide sellers through preparing a home for market. On September 22, 2026, they gathered at the OMDREB office in Oakville, Ontario, for the Staging to Sell, What Every Agent Should Know® class to earn their RESA® Certified Staging Advocate™ (RESA-CSA™) designation.
The class also marked a milestone for RESA® Approved Instructor Louay Nouneh of MES Décors Inc.: his first time teaching the course.
A stronger foundation for seller conversations
When a seller asks whether staging is worth the investment, an agent’s answer can shape what happens next. Understanding how staging supports a listing gives agents a stronger foundation for that conversation, from explaining buyer first impressions to helping clients understand the preparation process.
Developed by the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA®), Staging to Sell, What Every Agent Should Know the curriculum explores how to:
- Explain staging as a strategic part of marketing a property.
- Understand how buyers interpret a home’s presentation, both online and in person.
- Use staging data to support informed conversations about investment and potential return.
- Evaluate and collaborate with qualified professional stagers.
- Recognize the role of contracts, insurance, safety, and ethical presentation in the staging process.
Participants also receive more than 50 actionable staging tips they can use when preparing a listing or advising a seller before a home goes on the market.
