Rebecca Jones Reflects On Her Time As The RESA San Diego Chapter Treasurer

Being involved in a Leadership position for the Real Estate Staging Association allows you to get involved with your local staging community while making a difference in the home staging industry. RESA Headquarters is so thankful for those leaders who are making way in their communities and dedicating their time and knowledge to advance professionalism and excellence in real estate staging.

Reflecting With Rebecca Jones 2018 RESA San Diego Chapter Treasurer

1. How long have you been involved in a leadership role?

I’ve always enjoyed being a member of a leadership team. Most of my employment opportunities have led to leadership such as retail management, regional visual trainer (retail) , district management on boarding (retail) and operations manager for BlueGrape Staging and Design.

2. What made you decide to get involved in RESA leadership?

I’ve been an active member of our local chapter for 2 years and active member of San Diego’s Meetup group for home stagers led by Lisa Vasey.  I was honored when the board approached me to join as Treasurer last year.  This is a new role to the chapter which involved me to lead the way in getting our local 501(c) (6) tax-exempt status and ramping up our ability to have affiliates join our meetings in 2019.

3. What advice do you have for others who are interested in being involved with RESA leadership?
Joining RESA is a must as a home stager!  Whether you’re in the beginning stages or a tenure home stager, it’s an amazing place to learn, share and grow.  Everyone’s contribution adds value and you feel like you’re making a difference in the industry.
