Being involved in a Leadership position for the Real Estate Staging Association allows you to get involved with your local staging community, while making a difference in the home staging industry. RESA Headquarters is so thankful for those leaders who are making way in their communities and dedicating their time and knowledge to advance professionalism and excellence in real estate staging.
Reflecting With Starr Armstrong 2018 RESA Greater Tampa Bay Chapter Secretary
1. When did you get involved in leadership?
I have served on the RESA Greater Tampa Bay chapter board since 2016. I first served as Secretary/Treasurer, and now I am serving as President-Elect.
2. What are you most proud of accomplishing during your time in RESA leadership?
I am most proud that at a time when the chapter was somewhat floundering, that I took steps to find out how we could save our chapter. I also took the time to talk to new stagers and new RESA members to find out their needs and desires for their respective companies, and the role in which RESA could help them achieve their goals. I am happy to say that our chapter is beginning to flourish and grow. I look forward to a new year of renewed interest and vitality.
3. What do you hope to see for the staging industry in the next 5 years?
I look forward to a time when it is the norm to have a home staged. When a realtor recommends an inspection, he/she also recommends staging. I hope to see that staging is almost second nature in the real estate industry. Real estate professionals would be able to recognize quality and professional stagers and most realtors would want to have a stager on their team just like mortgage professionals, inspectors, insurance agents, etc.
