After always being told that she has a ‘natural creative design flair’ and a strong passion for interior design, Faye Caller decided to follow her dream of becoming a leading property styling professional and launched Visionary Design House in 2016.

I am: Faye Caller, wife to Nick, my husband and mom to our two young daughters (Sienna-Rose & Evie-Louise) We moved from the UK nearly 4 years ago after Nick was relocated to California where we settled in Granite Bay. Following a career in procurement, I am now fulfilling my lifelong dream of owning my own business.
Visionary Design House: aims to inspire prospective buyers to look at the opportunity right in front of them and envision they are walking into their future home.
I love staging because: it gives me an outlet to express my creative talents. My passion has always been to decorate and re-design so now I get to do what I love, meet new people and be faced with new challenges.
My style is: Contemporary, modern with a twist of family style living. However, I love the challenge of having to adjust my style and adapt to my clients requirements.
Good staging should: Always be targeted to the audience, inspiring, fun and have that ‘WOW’ factor as soon as you enter. A prospective buyer should smile at a room and allow it to create a fantasy.
Right now I’m obsessed with: energizing neutrals with fresh, hints of modern pastels, Jo Malone candles and succulents!
Staging is: Helping buyers to visualize the potential before them. Staging is a must in this ever increasing competitive housing market. It is the art of enabling buyers to emotionally connect with a house upon entering and using buyers eyes to merchandise a home’s best features and down play its flaws. It takes seconds to make that first impression and our goal is to keep the prospective buyer in the house as long as possible.
It’s my goal to: Grow my business and eventually expand my team so I can focus on the creative element. I would like Visionary Design House to be the no.1 stager in the Placer county area and the ‘go to’ stager for all local realtors. I would also like to become more involved with local charities and be able to sponsor local events that help the community.
My motto is : Live boldly and bloom to your fullest potential by taking small, but fearless daily actions in the direction of your dream.
I love what I do because: I enjoy making a positive difference and seeing my ideas come to fruition. Home trends are consistently changing and there is always something new to learn. I love being able to say ‘I love what I do’!
My biggest accomplishment this year has been: To create my new website and put myself out there on social media. It is a very daunting prospect opening yourself up to criticism, but equally I feel humbled by the vast support of other stagers and the social media community. I love that my husband and children talk to people about what I do and feel proud that their wife and/or mommy ‘makes peoples homes beautiful’.
My favorite meal after a long day of staging is: Hmmmmm….. probably a chilled glass of wine first and then any fish dish. Probably traditional English fish & chips!
In the next 5 years: I would like to grow my creative team so that I can be doing multiple staging jobs a day. Expand my storage facilities! Work with a local charity. Start saving for our kids college and eventually help design and build our own house.
