Being involved in a Leadership position for the Real Estate Staging Association allows you to get involved with your local staging community, while making a difference in the home staging industry. RESA Headquarters is so thankful for those leaders who are making way in their communities and dedicating their time and knowledge to advance professionalism and excellence in real estate staging.
Reflecting With Taya Wright 2018 RESA Houston Chapter President-Elect
1. When did you get involved in leadership, and what made you get involved?
I got involved in 2017 when I joined the RESA chapter board as President-Elect, because I like what RESA stands for. They are big on education and facts to back up their statistics. I also really loved how welcoming they are, if you are willing to serve they are willing to believe in you and that’s a great feeling. I like that RESA gives back, RESA contacted us many times after Harvey and were willing to happily help.
2. What are you most proud of accomplishing during your time in RESA leadership?
Getting to know the Houston chapter board and chapter members. I am also proud to have arranged the opportunity to volunteer with the Houston Food Bank. We got the opportunity to hand out food to the elderly before the Thanksgiving holiday.
3. What advice do you have for others who are interested in being involved with RESA leadership?
Do it! RESA has so much information and tools that anyone can educate themselves by checking out the resources from the RESA website. Also, RESA Headquarters are amazingly helpful and friendly, and you can tell they really want us to succeed as a chapter.
4. Did you face any fears while being involved with leadership and if so how did you handle them?
