Please tell us why you would be a good candidate for this position.

I strive to achieve excellence in sales, excellence in staging and excellence in customer satisfaction. I feel I have a good perspective on the challenges many new stagers face, as well as those that have been in business for many years. I feel my approach to solving problems and being transparent will earn the respect of the other Board members as well as the RESA members at large.

Please list two initiatives you would like to focus on during your term if elected.

1) I would like to create a marketing campaign to bring awareness to the real estate market at large to bring a higher level of respect to stagers in their community. Many of them have no idea the level of creativity, intelligence and professionalism required to run a successful staging business. 

2) I have been really surprised how few stagers buy wholesale. I think the RESA buying group is a good first step to help them, but many don’t know what to buy or don’t have the finances. I would like to help expand this program and educate more stagers on the opportunities of saving money on inventory.

Please tell us about any professional contributions you have made to the industry.

Having been the top producer at Showhomes for 5 years in a row, I have provided our other franchisees with training, consultations and shadowing opportunities. I was on the Franchise Advisory Board (FAC) for 4 years, spearheading many marketing programs (through our Ad Fund) and Beta test programs to launch new software and tools to help the franchisees nationally.

Describe your leadership experience.

See above. In addition, I have employees that have been with me many years (one for 12 years!) which isn’t possible without good leadership skills. We launched a successful retail store prior to starting our staging business. In my prior life before that, I was a VP of International Sales for a large computer storage company and I was solely responsible for winning and running a $22M contract with Sun Microsystems which accounted for 80% of our companies revenue.
