Business to Business Marketing: Are You Doing It?

How often do you partner with local businesses in the real estate industry to build each others brands? Word of mouth and referrals go a long way, which is why it is important to get out and network with other business owners. Partnering with local real estate agents, brokers, movers, painters, handy men etc., can all help your referral business grow, and when the time comes that you need a handy man for a project you have one handy you can trust.

November is Home Staging Awareness Month and we have partnered with some industry favorites to bring the RESA Home Staging Awareness Passport to members. One of the main goals of the Real Estate Staging Association is to bring awareness to the industry we love so much, which is why we have created a home Staging Awareness Passport Contest for members. Members have the opportunity to complete tasks that will raise awareness within their communities about home staging for the chance to win over $7,500 in prizes!

Staging Awareness Passport Task: Partner up with a local business that also helps buyers/sellers and cross promote one another. Email proof to Felicia@Resa-hq.org to earn 3 entries.

A Few ways that you can cross promote each other

  • Create a co-branded advertisement for the local newspaper.
  • Use social media outlets. Add comments to a business partner’s Facebook page, or Tweet about the company.
  • Send out a joint promotional postcard using your combined mailing lists.
  • Co-produce a lecture at a local venue. A stager and a furniture store could talk about inexpensive ways to revamp a family room or teach attendees how to color coordinate a room.
  • Include promotions and discounts for partners on your invoices.
  • Plan to share a booth at an upcoming trade show.
  • C0-produce an email newsletter – and send to each of your contact lists.
