Feature Friday – Accent Home Designs

RESA® member Sonia Palmer comes from a very creative background, which includes the culinary arts, teaching, foreign languages and music. She has always been passionate about beauty in all its forms. It was during the beginning of the pandemic that found her love for home staging, pursued becoming a Certified Interior Decorator (C.I.D.), and founded Accent Home Designs in San Diego, CA. 

“I strongly believe that a beautiful home should be accessible to everyone and I try to work around all different budgets.”

Sonia works with her husband Zac, a construction engineer. Together they are able to offer a complete prep-to-sell service: from home staging to painting, handyman services and even small remodels.

“We have a lot of fun working together and it is a way to bond and let our creativity out too!”

My goal is…

To double my revenues from last year!

What part of owning your own business is the least enjoyable for you?
The long hours.

I love staging because…

It gives me a chance to show off a home’s hidden potential and make my customers happy!

What project are you really excited about right now and why?

One home we just staged in Coronado is going for 3.15 million and it looks so much better now, I’m very proud of it.

If you could only keep five possessions, what would they be?

My family,  my business, my phone, my laptop, my car.

What were you doing before you started staging?

I owned a specialty bakery.
