Deb Halloran is the principal stager and owner of Impact Home Staging. Having been in the customer service industry for over 30 years, Deb has a passion for helping people.
Servicing Brantford and surrounding areas, Deb offers vacant and occupied home staging services for agents, homeowners, builders, investors, flippers, and for the short-term rental market as well. She knows the real estate market from the perspective of an agent, stager, and that of buyer and seller. Having once worked as a manager for a photography company, she also knows her way around a camera and what makes an awesome photo.
“As a real estate agent, I saw the need for a better online experience for the buyer. The pictures I was seeing on a daily basis were making me sad, so I set out to do something about it!”
Deb is a graduate of RESA® Accredited Education Provider, Certified Staging Professionals, and holds the titles of Certified Staging Professional®, Certified Colour Consultant™, Vacant Staging Specialist™. She also furthers her education through her RESA® membership.
“I joined RESA® to be a part of a larger staging community that I could learn from, this group is comprised of the best of best and to learn you need to surround yourself with the best in the industry.”

Learn more about Deb:
My motto is…
Do your absolute best and the rest will follow.
Good staging should…
Flow seamlessly.
When I am not working I enjoy…
Swimming and travelling.
Right now I am obsessed with…
Getting my warehouse organized!

My morning ritual is…
Coffee, breakfast, warehouse and/or right to work on a staging site or a consult.
My goal is…
To have a successful staging company for many years and start a rental business on the side to other stagers and real estate agents.
I love what I do because…
It changes people’s lives…and I love their reaction when they see my work.
My favorite meal after a long day of staging is…
A glass of wine and cheese, then whatever my husband is making for dinner.

When faced with a struggle…
I google it or draw on past experiences.
Who is your role model and why?
Christine Rae at the CSP Training Academy. She was my teacher and now is my friend and mentor. She is always there for you when you have a question, a problem or just to listen when you need to vent. She started a staging business when it didn’t exist and grew a million-dollar company from the bottom. She has faith in every one of her students that they can achieve whatever level of success they want and I love her for that!!!
When you are in a rut creatively where do you go or what do you do to get out of it?
I go shopping, usually to Home Sense or I go on design boards online at Urban Barn, Pinterest etc.
What does a perfect day look like to you?
Staging one house and de-staging, and then putting it where it belongs in the warehouse so I am ready for the next day…if every day were like this, I’d be a happy camper…I mean stager.

What project are you really excited about right now and why?
I was contacted by a very busy and successful contractor I will be staging for. It’s a huge compliment that he contacted me after seeing my work.
What do you think about when you are alone in your car?
I think about my next job and how to design the rooms.
What part of owning your own business is the least enjoyable for you and why?
The least enjoyable part is organizing the warehouse. I would rather be using my abilities elsewhere and hire someone who enjoys organizing the pillows by colour or plants by height.. thankfully I am also at that point.
Would you rather stage an occupied listing or vacant?
I struggle with this question. After I do a vacant, that’s my answer and visa versa. When it comes right down to it, I’d have to say occupied because I absolutely adore the reaction from the homeowners face on the transformation. They know how much hard work went into it by them carrying out all the recommendations after the consultation, and then with the showcasing part done by me. So many Sellers tell me they don’t want to move now and that’s the best compliment I can get!
