Kristen Brown and Amy Keeley are not only the founders of Salt + Pine Home Staging in West Greenwich, Rhode Island, they are also identical twin sisters. The sisters bought and renovated their first homes (just a block away from each other) and when the time came to move on, they combined their shared passion for all things home, knowledge of the Rhode Island real estate market, and sense of design to successfully staged the homes and receive multiple offers above asking within days of listing.
“Thanks to the huge success we each had selling out first homes we were able to build our dream homes in Rhode Island! After designing every inch from blueprints to the decor of our new homes, we decided it is time to take our skills and start our own home staging business.”
Kristen and Amy enjoy helping clients in Rhode Island see the full potential in their homes and receive top dollar to move on to the next chapter in their lives by making staging accessible to everyone, whether it’s working with what the homeowner has, bringing in furniture and accessories to enhance the space or filling a vacant home.
“We own all our own inventory and we can stage any size home. Selling a house can be a stressful process and hard for a homeowner to objectively see what needs to be done to neutralize a space. We will do that for you. We understand that a home is full of memories and cherished items. We recognize and celebrate those memories while helping our clients see the potential in their space.”

Before we were was staging…
Amy was working in the field of education and Kristen was working in the medical field.
How did you start your staging career?
We started our staging career when we both felt unfilled in out past careers, we had always dreamed of working together. We talked about things we loved, things we were passionate about and when we felt happy. This lead us into our staging business. We both enjoy learning and education. We immediately signed up for our certification course and began to build our business.
Good staging should…
Allow you to see the full potential of a space as well as evoke the feeling of home.

Our personal aesthetic is…
Our personal aesthetic is timeless and on trend. We love creating a curated look for each home we stage by bringing in furnishings that lend to the style of the house but always making it sure it has our signature Salt + Pine look.
Our go to staging accessory is…
Plants and white pillows!
What do you think about when you are alone in your car?
Amy is usually singing or mentally planning the next stage. Kristen is usually thinking about our next stage or about how to market our business (even though she tries to just relax and listen to music).

When faced with a struggle…
We talk it out together and figure out the best course of action together!
Our goal is…
Our goal is to continue to grow our business. This year we moved into our first warehouse space which was so exciting. We doubled our business this year and look forward to doing that again!
What does a perfect day look like to you?
Staging a vacant home and making it home to get the kids off the bus.
What project are you really excited about right now and why?
We are getting ready to stage a historic house that was completely renovated in Newport, RI. This is a coastal community and our aesthetic is the perfect compliment. This home is 3 floors with some tricky spaces due to it being an older home. We love a challenge and can’t wait to see our vision come to life.
