Get To Know Amanda:

1. What is a home staging tip you live by?
Three very important tips I use to get people started: Declutter, Depersonalize, Deep Clean.

2. What makes you get out of bed in the morning?
I love the variety I have as a home stager! I get to wear many different hats, from project manager to designer and photographer. I love helping people make their homes look beautiful, and no two projects are alike, which keeps things interesting.

3. If you had three magazines to take on a trip which would they be?
Better Homes & Gardens, The Magnolia Journal and Real Simple.

4. What is the most frustrating aspect of your job as a home stager?

Sometimes it’s difficult making people understand the true value of home staging, and convincing them that it really is worth the time and money to present their home at its very best.

And the most rewarding one?
The most rewarding part of my job as a home stager is seeing my vision come to life. Staging projects are like big puzzles, figuring out the best way to pull all the little pieces together to create one big, beautiful picture. Staging isn’t just about how a space looks, but about how it makes you feel. I love being able to step back at the end of a project and know the energy in the space will be a positive one for not only the owner, but potential buyers as well.
5. What determined your passion for home staging?
I’ve always had a passion for finding potential in a variety of spaces, along with a strong love for organization. I love arranging the puzzle pieces of a home to not only function at it’s best, but look beautiful as well.

6. Tell us about the moment when you decided this is the way to go.
I worked in advertising for almost a decade before getting into home staging full time. Although I worked hard and was successful, I knew it wasn’t the right fit for me in the long run and I needed to figure out what my next step would be. Home staging was a great way to combine my marketing experience with my love for interior decorating.
