GraceAnn Simoni Reflects About The 2018 RESA Greater Chicago Chapter

Being involved in a leadership position for the Real Estate Staging Association allows you to get involved with your local staging community, while making a difference in the home staging industry. RESA Headquarters is so thankful for those leaders who are making way in their communities and dedicating their time and knowledge to advance professionalism and excellence in real estate staging.

Get to know the 2018 RESA Greater Chicago Chapter Treasurer

1. When did you get involved in leadership?

After completing my training through IRIS (Interior Redesign Industry Specialists) in 2001, I immediately joined a committee. My goal was to understand the redesign industry better and meet the people moving it forward. Within a couple of years, I was on the Board where I served in various categories for 6 years. Including chairing the committee in IRIS to start a home staging certification program.

2. What made you decide to get involved in RESA leadership?

When I joined RESA, again, I wanted to get to know the people in the industry and to help advance the knowledge of staging in the Midwest. I have always believed in giving back.

3. What are you most proud of accomplishing during your time in RESA leadership?

Well I have to say this year (2018) being voted in the top 100 Most Influential people in the Real Estate Staging Industry. I am so honored. Also, being part of a growing Chapter in the Chicago area.

4. What advice do you have for others who are interested in being involved with RESA leadership?

You may think you don’t have time, but the time involvement is very small considering the huge benefit you receive. Knowing your peers, helping to grow ‘your’ industry, and most importantly sharing and receiving support and advise.
