Reflecting With Lara Bundy RESA Denver Metro Chapter President

1. When did you get involved in leadership, and what inspired you to do so?

I got involved in RESA Leadership two years ago because I wanted to pay it forward. I actually met my business partner, Sarah Hurrell, at a local chapter meeting five years ago! We were both going to attend RESACON in a month’s time, and I asked Sarah if she would want to meet up with me and go to Market.  A friendship and partnership was formed that fateful RESACON and it was the best thing that could have happened to the both of us.  We both had our strengths and weaknesses, but we complimented each other well and made great business partners.  Had we both not gone to that RESA chapter meeting, we would not be the successful staging company that we are now.  I really feel that had we not had our chapter, my life would be very different now.  I wanted to make sure there was a place for RESA stagers to meet and to see what wonderful things can grow from a chapter.

2. What are you most proud of accomplishing during your time in RESA leadership?

I am most proud of our Denver Chapter for getting ourselves back on track.  Our chapter had been struggling for a while, and I feel like we have engaged and brought in some of our old stagers and some new stagers.  I feel like we offered some great new topics and events to attend to promote our chapter to new heights.

3. What advice do you have for others who are interested in being involved with RESA leadership?

Don’t hold back and get involved!  It is great to be part of a network of stagers.  Everyone has something to contribute- whether you are a seasoned stager, or  brand new stager.  We all have great ideas- don’t be afraid to take that step!
