Being involved in a Leadership position for the Real Estate Staging Association allows you to get involved with your local staging community, while making a difference in the home staging industry. RESA Headquarters is so thankful for those leaders who are making way in their communities and dedicating their time and knowledge to advance professionalism and excellence in real estate staging.

Reflecting With Leslie Anderson RESA Greater Capital Area Chapter President

1. When did you get involved in leadership?

When we first started our chapter 2 1/2 yrs ago.

2. What made you decide to get involved in RESA leadership?

I felt it would force me to push myself to take my business to another level. I have been on several boards in the past and I enjoy brainstorming and developing new ideas to help organizations grow.

3. What are you most proud of accomplishing during your time in RESA leadership?

I am really proud of the fact that we have built a pretty strong chapter in just two years. Financially we are very strong, our membership continues to grow and we have a core group of members that enjoy being together and helping each other out. It was important for me to help establish an outlet for stagers as this can be a lonely business. We have a good network that communicates regularly.

4. What advice do you have for others who are interested in being involved with RESA leadership?

Do it! You meet so many people and find things out about yourself that you didn’t know.

5. What was your favorite chapter meeting this year?

All of them! I love our meetings! I especially liked two of them. First when we brought Tori Toth in to teach about video techniques, and second when we streamed Debbie Boggs course on 2018 Design Tips. Those were both great meetings!

6. What have you gained from being a part of leadership?

To always follow up and make it easy for people to remember their responsibilities. No one person an grow a chapter. Leadership is a necessity in working together to be successful.
