Raphael House of Portland is a multi-faceted domestic violence agency dedicated to ending intimate partner violence for good. They proudly serve individuals and families of all backgrounds, cultures, ages, abilities, gender identities, and sexual orientations. Our RESA Portland Chapter gave back to them in a big way this holiday season.
It’s with great excitement that we share these stunning “before and after” photos from a very special project, which turned empty apartments into warm homes for two of our recently housed survivor families – and just in time for the holidays!
Take a look through the images below to see how these spaces were transformed by our friends from the RESA Portland Chapter.
Survivors fleeing domestic violence must often leave behind all of their belongings. It takes time to rebuild their lives after moving from shelter to safe housing, but thanks to this amazing group of home stagers, both families celebrated the season in beautiful spaces that were collaboratively designed to fit their unique needs and taste. If only we could share photos of all the happy tears at each “big reveal”!
