Being involved in a Leadership position for the Real Estate Staging Association allows you to get involved with your local staging community, while making a difference in the home staging industry. RESA Headquarters is so thankful for those leaders who are making way in their communities and dedicating their time and knowledge to advance professionalism and excellence in real estate staging.

Reflecting With Pramiti Bhargava 2018 RESA San Diego Chapter President

1. When did you get involved in leadership?
I got involved in the RESA Leadership in 2016 when we made it our mission to have a San Diego chapter started! The board and leadership team ever since then has been a fabulous group to work with, mutually spearheading all responsibilities and volunteering their time and effort. Prior to that I was involved in brand and marketing leadership roles at media and Internet brands.

2. What made you decide to get involved in RESA leadership?
I along with a few other awesome colleagues had this passion to get all staging businesses formally together to network, learn and share. Staging was a high growth industry in one of the Top 10 US real estate markets of San Diego. We had a number of businesses in the county some growing, some coming in new, some shutting down each year. The region could definitely benefit from a RESA chapter was the goal.

3. What are you most proud of accomplishing during your time in RESA leadership?
From an audience of 5-6 the chapter now has meetings with an attendance of 15-20 who value the content and platform the chapter provides. In 2019 we will start member dues and affiliate sponsorships. Establishing an automated annual pricing survey in 2016 which now runs annually, captures stats on SurveyMonkey and establishing pricing benchmarks for staging businesses in San Diego is one of the wins. Having the widest variety of content topics (redesign, pricing, taxes, sales, marketing, staging hacks, set), an annual calendar announced each year in January and talented speakers. Setting up a process and system for smooth functioning has helped present a professionally run chapter.

4. What advice do you have for others who are interested in being involved with RESA leadership?
Go out there and volunteer to participate! No matter where you in the business you will learn and grow. The immense satisfaction of contributing to your industry and collaborating in your market is reason enough!

5. What do you hope to see for the staging industry in the next 5 years?
– Pricing benchmarks and norms which are a basic for any staging business new or old.
– Quality and standards clearly defined for the industry, which helps customers distinguish a professional business from one not so professional.
– All real estate agents to have deeper understanding and education on staging.
