RESA Committees Have Been Working to Create Standards By Raising the Bar

The Real Estate Staging Association has a total of five committees that were established to accomplish a specific task, or oversee a specific area of need in our association and industry. Committee members gather and evaluate information and recommend a course of action to RESA-HQ and the National Board for approval. We wanted to update you on what our RESA Committee’s have been working on to raise the bar within our industry. We have several things in the works that we are excited to share with you, for now, here are a few notable projects we are able to share!

RESA Executive Council Committee

This committee was formed in April of 2018.  They are tasked with defining acceptable industry standards & best practices as well as identify industry challenges and recommend a corrective course of action. They are credited for additions to RESA’s Code of Ethics, they have collaborated to define what makes a professional stager a ‘true professional’. The committee is focused on industry standards and will assist with the development of continuing education for the industry, as well as identifying and addressing solutions to challenges in our industry. .

Committee Chair, Richard Kline and committee members David Peterson, Michelle Minch, Katherine Jordan, Mikaela Adams Rios, Rachel Borrelli, Todd McAllister continue to focus on industry standards and will assist with the development of continuing education for the industry, as well as identifying and addressing solutions to challenges in our industry such as virtual staging.

RESA Leadership and Professional Development Committee

This committee was formed in April of 2018 and has been working to create a program to help members advance their professional development through leadership. The goal in mind is to enhance leadership skills and nurture new leaders in the industry, possible new designation/qualifications and explore a continuing education (CE) program. Their committee has developed a fundamental plan for a Leadership Academy and a continuing education program, both projects have been approved by RESA’s National Board. This committee is focused on elevating industry standards with some exciting changes in 2020.

Committee Chair, Kristine Vowles and committee members Patricia Marie Kelly, Orlando Reyes, Carol Bedsole Clark  and Becky Harmon are focused on elevating industry standards with some exciting changes in 2020.  This committee serves at the pleasure of RESA’s National Board of Directors with oversight by Linda Brown.

RESA Award Committee

This committee was formed in April of 2018 and they have been working to revamp the RESACON awards platform with clear communication, recognition and interaction among members. Making sure that the stellar work and effort of RESA industry professionals is recognized and awarded with all the excitement that they deserve!

Committee Chair, Cathy Lee Cibelli and committee members Lindsey Childs, Rachel Borrelli, Bobbie McGrath, Karen DiMattia, Joanne O’Donnell and Kathy West.

RESA Canada Strategic Planning Committee

This committee was formed in April of 2018 and they have been working to increase Canadian Membership, and educating current members about the benefits of RESA, including the RESA Buying Group.

Committee C0-Chairs, Nicole Schenk and Ellen Forbes serve alongside committee members Lori Pedersen, Rachel BorrelliAnna Topolinsky, Nina Doiron, and Leslie Redshaw.

RESA Top Producer Committee

The goal of this group is to provide resources, education, and incentives to support top producing staging companies, for the purpose of building the industry, while increasing membership enrollment and retention for RESA.
