RESA’s leadership structure consists of roughly forty chapters throughout North America, state and provincial presidents and a national board of directors. RESA provides leadership opportunities for our members in an effort to further the professional development of our members and the industry as a whole.
If you have thought about getting involved in RESA leadership now is time to make that goal a reality! The RESA Elections 2018 are here and we are seeking leaders on a local, state/province and national level.
Being involved with RESA Leadership is a major benefit of membership and a great opportunity to shape the climate of our industry on the local, state or national level.
RESA leaders represent a constituency and collectively serve to hold the organization accountable in accordance with RESA’s mission.

RESA Local Leadership
Each year in October, RESA members are eligible to serve on the board of their local chapter. Submissions must be made here, electronically, not to be submitted locally. Members are strongly encouraged to get involved with leadership. Chapters require new leadership to keep the chapters going, a major benefit of membership. Leadership positions have a term of one year and a maximum of 2 years in the same position.

RESA State Leadership
Each state/province is eligible to have a President to represent its members & leaders. The role of a State/Provincial President is to unite the leadership and support growth in their state/province.

RESA National Leadership
The board of directors ensure that RESA is operating in accordance with it’s mission, values, goals and bylaws through decision making, financial oversight and governance. Board members vote on major decisions pertaining to revision of bylaws and serve as an advisor to RESA’s operating team when necessary. BOD positions are for a term of two years. Once the director positions have been filled, the governing board will then elect three officer positions from among its directors.
