On Monday, April 11th, the Massachusetts chapter of RESA held it’s monthly meeting at Churchill Furniture Rental. Hillary Callahan of Bigelow Nurseries shared the best options for container plants, the use of living wreaths, and how to feature shrubs in overall landscape design. Bigelow Nurseries is one of the largest Retail and Wholesale Nurseries in Central Mass and they are experts in the horticulture field. Located in Northborough, MA, Hilary specializes in helping homeowners, real estate agents and yes, HOME STAGERS, chose the perfect plants for their gardens or containers.
We listened to some great ideas about how to use everyday items from inverted birdbaths to those weird gazing balls that no one ever knows what to do with to create unique sculpture and focal points in the garden or on the patio. Thanks to Hilary’s amazing foldable hand truck, (a tool none of us, by the way, should be without) she was able to haul in 3 stunning containers for us to “oooh and aaahhh” over! If April showers really do bring May flowers – #RESAMass is soo ready!” ~Barb Nazzaro, President Elect
