On Sunday, September 30th, the RESA Richmond Chapter held an end of summer Yard Sale fundraiser for St Jude Research Hospital. The event was held at Virginia’s first urban cidery, Blue Bee Cider, located in the historic Scott’s Addition district of Richmond, VA. Chapter members donated gently used home decor, bed and bath items, art, furniture and more. Visitors enjoyed shopping while sipping cider and encouraged us to do it every year!
All proceeds benefited the life-saving work conducted by St. Jude, a leading childrens hospital pioneering research and treatment for kids with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The items that did not sell were donated to The Goodwill. It was a great day!
“The strong culture of giving back to the community, is one of the greatest benefits of being a member of the RESA Richmond chapter. Each year the “Give Back” committee organizes fabulous ways for the members to “pay it forward” the outcome is always to enrich the lives of others.”
