The board has received feedback on the Home Staging Industry Awards that the $500 spending limit on the Redesign category is too restrictive. The board voted today to lift the spending cap.
The new rule is as follows: Remodeling is not allowed. Remodeling would involve changing fixed elements in a space, while a redesign is changing the design of the space through accessories and furniture.
Not allowed: Changing tile, new cabinets, new floors, changing fixed elements.
You may now submit in this category with no spending cap as long as remodeling/renovations are not part of the project.
