Step Up, Stand Out: Volunteer Opportunities at RESACON 2023

Yolanda Tillmand and Kathryn Lenhardt serving as 2023 Volunteer Co-Chairs

Are you attending the highly anticipated RESACON 2023? Want to amplify your experience and stand out as an industry leader by signing up to volunteer?

As a non-profit association without an army of personnel, tending to all of our guests and overseeing every detail at RESACON can be challenging. RESA® is a member-run organization and we need dedicated member support to make the industry’s largest event of the year a success!

Being seen as a volunteer in your industry can significantly boost your self-confidence and personal growth. As a volunteer, you are entrusted with important responsibilities and decision-making authority. This level of trust and accountability can help you develop a strong belief in your abilities and expertise. With each successful experience, you gain a sense of accomplishment and a deeper understanding of your capabilities. Increased self-confidence not only positively impacts your professional life but also extends to your personal life, enabling you to tackle challenges, take on new opportunities, and strive for continuous growth and development.

We need some detail oriented volunteers to assist with registration, charismatic greeters to make everyone feel welcome, badge checkers to keep the wanderers from crashing our party and ‘information mavens’ to direct attendees and share general information.

Is this your first time at RESACON and feeling like you wish you knew someone else attending? Attending an event for the first time as a volunteer might seem intimidating, but it’s a golden opportunity to break out of your comfort zone and meet like-minded individuals who share your passion. Prepare for new friendships and unforgettable experiences!

Join our team of RESACON 2023 volunteers, sign up for a two hour shift, and have some fun! Volunteering enhances the event experience, encourages you to meet new people and helps you feel more connected to the community while serving on a team to help make the event a success…that alone is rewarding!

A message from current RESA® Board of Director Chair-Elect and Volunteer Co-Chair, Yolanda Tillman:

Greetings RESAnation!
Our lustrous leader Lady Shell and the RESA® HQ staff work SO HARD for us, and we can’t thank them ENOUGH! Now, as RESA® Ambassador and one of the National Board of Directors (WOW, I came a long way from being a committed, dedicated chapter/leadership member, to co-chair of all volunteers, to where I am now) this is what it’s all about. We are the only non-profit real estate staging industry that pour back into its awesome members, how cool is that?

January 2017, my first time at RESACON was so exciting, fun and work. What I mean by work is, we had to tune our minds into what was offered to us in preparation of having a successful business, by attending the various workshops, and listening to guest speakers that poured out their stories and experiences. I volunteered as a Door Greeter then and again in 2018. I served as Volunteer Co-Chair of RESACON 2019 and was responsible for overseeing 40 volunteers, the largest ever, and that speaks volumes.

I submit to each of you the challenge of giving back to yourselves as businessmen and women, who tirelessly invested in your businesses to attend and learn from leading experts. Plus, the networking is wonderful, meeting new colleagues who become dear friends is priceless, fellowshipping and our educational breakout sessions are amazing.

As Hoda Kotb says ‘You never know when your opportunity will come, but when it does, you take it!’
