Home Staging Awareness Month is held annually in November. The Real Estate Staging Association announced their first annual Home Staging Awareness Month in 2008. RESA’s goals are to facilitate positive interactions within the home staging industry, provide support to professional stagers in addition to promoting the benefits of home staging to the consumer.
How You Can Get Involved In Home Staging Awareness Month
- We encourage you to give back in your local communities. During Home Staging Awareness Month we see many of our local chapters donating their time to give back in their communities. To see some of the projects done in previous years take a look here. If you don’t have a local chapter near you, volunteer your time to decorate a community center, foster care home, or even provide a food drive or toy drive for those in need during the Holiday seasons. Getting involved in your community is a great way to give back to others and network.
- Participate in the Home Staging Awareness Passport Contest, for the chance to win up to $7,500 in prizes! Learn more here.
- Run a social media campaign describing the benefits of working with home stagers. You can share stats from your previous listings, share success stories and video testimonials.
- Commit to writing a blog post about how your home staging business can help home owners who are prepping to list their property. Once you have the blog post up share with local real estate agents and see if they would be willing to share on your behalf.
- Commit to being VISIBLE in your community as there is no better way to raise awareness than by being visible. Create a series of videos that you can post throughout the month of November as a way to promote Staging Awareness Month. You can write an elevator pitch and record yourself, record a video doing a walkthrough of a before and after, create a video sharing your education and background.
- Join the Real Estate Industry’s Largest Network of continuing education Staging Instructors and teach the “Staging to Sell, What Every Agent Should Know”, proprietary designation class that can only be taught through RESA, by RESA Approved Instructors. RESA Approved instructors are viewed as experts and leaders. As part of this elite group, you will become a leading influencer in the real estate industry.
