A Message from Yolanda Tillman About RESACON 2022

Hooray! RESACON 2022!

I’ am so excited for our upcoming RESACON 2022 and all it has in store for existing members and new attendees. What a treat it will be, as our extraordinary leader, Lady Shell (as I call her) and her awesome staff who are working so hard to put together yet another outstanding conference for the real estate staging industry, and truly, the only organization of its kind.

The last 2 years have been very challenging for all of us as COVID came along and pretty much turned our world upside down. Some of you had to close your staging businesses to seek steady employment to survive, while others had to sell off their beautiful furnishings to get extra income. Some had just started their business and were looking forward to getting it off the ground and looking forward to attending an in-person RESACON for the first time. Although, we had the virtual conferences which was great and very valuable, it’s not the same as walking the halls from room to room, attending the sessions and meeting new colleagues.

Well, no worries! We are now back in-person and back in stride again! I’ve even included some photos from previous conferences I have attended. I am so proud and honored to serve once again as this year’s 2022 Chair of Volunteers. As a result of our last in-person RESACON 2019, which I co-chaired with my dear friend Janie Jensen, who is the RESA California State President, we were highly praised by all of you for an outstanding job in overseeing 40 volunteers. This conference will be on a smaller scale, and may not need as many volunteers, but please sign up, we can never have too many.

To my previous volunteers, you all stepped up and showed your appreciation by giving your precious time and talents to RESA. I’m taking the challenge again, not because I raised my hand to do so, but because of my positive spirit, my leadership role in my RESA Greater Capital Area Chapter, RESA First Ambassador, and my commitment and dedication to the real estate staging industry. Therefore, this is where you can participate. You will find it so rewarding and memorable, along with networking with other professionals.

Here are some helpful tips should this be your first time attending:

  1. Bring your business cards to exchange with your colleagues so you can stay in touch.
  2. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
  3. Pack a shawl/wrap and men, you may need light jackets as some of the rooms and banquet hall may be a bit chilly.
  4. Pack a nice outfit to wear at the Awards Banquet. Mostly everyone loves to dress up, and take photos.
  5. Sign up for Las Vegas Market now to avoid any last-minute delays. (Las Vegas Market is a separate registration from RESACON but is free!)
  6. DON’T FORGET: Your positive attitudes, beautiful smiles and just have fun!
