Before there was a RESA there was CSP. Even though there was no one “watching” demonstrated leadership from initiating code of conduct, requiring certification, two tier certification process, comprehensive professional development & skills development continuing education, Staging Magazine, First & only free job shadow opportunities for graduates, preferred vendor affiliations, open door policy for training, Staging Safe(TM) Colors AND an agent education program. I had intended to start and support and industry association called ISPA when Shell Brodnax ran her idea/concepts by me about RESA. I not only totally supported her I paid for my whole membership to be RESA members so when the launch happened there were members. I was RESA’s Regional VP of CANADA for two years, have supported financially every Conference and am a huge advocate for all that RESA has become.

Describe your leadership experience.

Before owning my own company I had 24 years in the Corporate world. A General Manager of a $10M operation I was responsible for 50 employees, 8 regional managers. In my own business I have created many opportunities for graduates to excel in their own right as leaders in their own organizations. I empower & inspire people. I am a diligent, honorable & exacting person. I don’t believe we should entertain frivolous “hobbyist” stagers who do immense harm to the reputation of “profession”. To me staging is a HUGE responsibility with no margin for error, and a firm believer in cheap staging isn’t good (EVER) and GREAT staging isn’t cheap. I have been honored many times with awards and recognition; hugely honored to be the first recipient of the RESA Lifetime Achievement Award for dedication & professional leadership in the field, I was named as one of 100 Elite women who are changing the world of Real Estate and most recently two prestigious recognitions as Best Home Staging Training Academy 2019 & the BUILD Leadership Excellence Award 2019.
