What color should the garage door be on a property where the garage doors are front facing and loom large at the end of a driveway? I have been told to paint them the same color as the front door, is that correct?

Mary, absolutely not!
It is a staging myth to paint garage doors and entry doors the same color. It’s just too overwhelming! Instead, it is much better to have those garage doors fade into the background so the entry door to the property is the featured focal point. I suggest painting the garage doors the color of grout if the home’s facade is brick or stone. Include the trim around the garage as well (do not frame it in white as most do). For a different material, blend the garage door to match the main color of the house in a mid-tone.
