How long have you worked in the real estate staging industry?

6 years

Please tell us about your leadership experience.  Include any positions held with RESA.

I spent the last years of my 30-year career in the oil industry in Change Management.  I have run my company for the last 4 years as president with a team under me.

What is the name (or location) of your Local Chapter?

I am on Vancouver Island in Nanaimo and I don’t believe there is one.

Please list any professional designations, certificates or degrees, etc.

I have the equivalent of an Associate’s Degree in Communications, and I hold Certificates in Change Management both through PROSCI and Mount Royal University.

Please tell us why you would be a good candidate for this position.

I believe in the power of RESA.  I do my best to work with RESA team members to forward the industry, and to help those working in it.

Please list two initiatives you would like to focus on during your term if elected.

  1.  I’d like to focus on making the wholesale buying group and discounts more accessible and lucrative for Canadian stagers.  We do not have the same buying power.  Import fees and duty costs make it really hard to take advantage of wholesale buying.

  2. I would like to ensure the voice of boutique and smaller stagers is heard.

Please tell us about any professional contributions you have made to the industry.

Currently on the RESA Awards Committee, mentored several stagers in our past location in Calgary, worked with a national Canadian furniture supplier to provide a uniform discount to stagers.  I have shared my contract with other stagers to ensure we have a consistent starting point.  I actively participate in Social Media groups.  Presented a DIY Art presentation to one US Chapter group and am presenting to another chapter October 21st.

All eligible voting members will be able to cast their votes starting October 25th through November 5th, 2021.
